Steven grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He received a B.A. in Chemistry at Hunter College of CUNY. He was a NIGMS-RISE fellow at Hunter and is currently an IMSD-MERGE scholar at Stony Brook. He plays the piano/keyboard and the guitar with varying levels of proficiency in his spare time. Also, he is almost always singing something.
